Be prepared to get false information over the phone if you are calling ahead for anything. Was given false quote fee for an uber car inspection. The lady at the front desk told me that it would be a higher fee than what I was quoted over the phone. Told me right after she made me move my car to the location. Was not even sorry or did an exception for being given a false quote. And it would have taken over an hour for them to do the testing. Please Pep Boys Auto Service & tires, do better. Would not trust them if they’re going to lie about their fees over the phone.

I had a great experience at the Pep Boys on Washington and Hoover. I brought in my 2007 Chevy Silverado 1500 because the check engine light was on, and the team quickly diagnosed the issue and repaired it. They explained everything clearly, kept me informed throughout the process, and got my truck back on the road running smoothly. I also appreciated that they performed a thorough inspection and pointed out a few recommended repairs without any pressure or pushy sales tactics. It was helpful to know what maintenance my truck may need in the future so I can plan ahead. The staff was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous from start to finish. If you’re looking for an honest and reliable auto shop for diagnostics, repairs, or maintenance, I highly recommend the Pep Boys on Washington and Hoover. Thank you to the team for the excellent service!

My dad used to get his vehicles serviced by PepBoys in the 60's and 70's. The entire staff at PepBoys on Washington Boulevard/Hoover Street and on Crenshaw near Obama Boulevard are awesome, they know how to professionally take care of business, and the prices are very affordable. Thanks for taking care of my 2919 Cadillac CTS Sedan and please keep up the excellent service!!!!

Super friendly, knowledgeable. They were able to squeeze me in for a last minute brake replacement. lol I needed another part because something was broken behind the brake, Javier kindly let me know that he ordered the part and that it would be done next day. And it was. Such a good experience

A complete inspection of the car was performed. Gustavo walked me through every step of the process; my mechanic this time was Luis—I didn't see Juan around this visit—but Luis did a good job on the car. The people in the office—both the guys and the girl—are attentive and very friendly. For the moment, my car is running well. Review re-edit after one day After a day of use, the car continues to run well, and the temperature level remains stable. Unfortunately, I realized today that they failed to swap the green antifreeze for the blue variety—despite having charged me for the new antifreeze, the draining of the old green fluid, and the installation of the new blue one. They left the antifreeze reservoir completely empty, leaving only the fluid remaining in the thermostat housing. It is truly disappointing that they did not complete the job, especially since I paid a substantial amount for both the service and the parts. I believe that, for many of us, earning money is a struggle. If you are responsible for working on a vehicle, you should inspect it thoroughly before handing it back and ensure that you perform your job correctly; after all, when we entrust a car to a shop, it is
